One Day

One day, I began to wonder if the weight I bear would ever be replaced by peace, prosperity, and abundance. It’s the tension between the life I was born into and the life I’ve lived for so long. I’ve grown up in a food desert, surrounded by ghetto grass, despair, and a place where dreams are starved out, where survival becomes the only priority, and fight or flight is a constant state of being.
